Day 2 Beijing, Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Niujie Mosque, Wangfujing Street

Perform Salat prayer at Niujie Mosque, the oldest and largest mosque in Beijing, boasting over a millennium of heritage. Afterward, stand in awe of Tiananmen Square. As the world’s largest city square, Tiananmen Square stands as a powerful symbol of Chinese history, its vast expanse having witnessed pivotal moments, including the birth of the People’s Republic of China in 1949. Day 3 Bullet Train to Datong, Yungang Grottoes

Take a bullet train to Datong (approx. 2 hours). Datong, a city steeped in history and natural beauty, served as a major inspiration for the Black Myth: Wukong. This captivating city, with its ancient temples, towering mountains, and serene landscapes, provided the game’s creators with a rich tapestry of imagery to draw from. Upon arrival, embark on historical adventure through the Yungang Grottoes, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that served as a major inspiration for the acclaimed game, Black Myth: Wukong. The massive Yungang grottoes were cut from the mid-5th Century to early-6th Century AD. Comprising 252 caves and niches, the Yungang Grottoes represent the outstanding achievement of Buddhist cave art in China. Marvel at the intricate details of the Buddha statues, some of which are among the largest and most impressive in China.

Day 4 Datong, Yanmen Pass, Yingxian Wooden Pagoda

Unwind the day with a visit to two iconic temples featured in Black Myth Wukong: the Huayan Temple and Shanhua Temple. Huayan Temple, originally built in 1038 during the Liao dynasty, preserves the architectural styles of both the Liao and Jin dynasties. The Mahavira Hall and Buddhist Texts Library are particularly remarkable, showcasing intricate sculptures, frescoes, and inscriptions. Next, visit Shanhua Temple, founded in the 8th century. Its Mahavira Hall, built in the 11th century, is one of China’s largest of its kind. Don’t miss the Main Gate and Sansheng Hall, both from the 12th century. Marvel at the intricate details of the Nine-Dragon Wall, built in 1392 to screen the residence of an Imperial prince. Measuring 45.5 meters (150 feet) in length, it is the oldest and largest glazed-tile wall still extant in China. Catch a bullet train to Beijing in the afternoon.

Day 7 Depart Beijing
