Your private IslamiChina Travel guide will greet you with a clear sign in your hotel lobby (or designated meeting point) at the scheduled time. Transfer to Yuyuan Garden in a comfortable air-conditioned private vehicle.

Visit Yuyuan Garden & Shopping at Chenghuangmiao Market
Nestled in the heart of Shanghai’s Old City, Yuyuan Garden is a masterpiece of classical Chinese landscaping. Built in 1577, this enchanting oasis features intricate pavilions, winding corridors, and serene ponds adorned with colorful koi. Encircled by a sinuous dragon wall, the garden spans over 20,000 square meters yet feels expansive, accommodating 30 distinct pavilions. Just outside Yuyuan Garden lies Chenghuangmiao, a bustling temple complex showcasing traditional Chinese architecture. Visitors can explore numerous shops, savor local cuisine, and enjoy the lively atmosphere of this popular destination.

Lunch at a Halal Restaurant, Salat at Xiaotaoyuan Mosque

Walk Around the People’s Square
People’s Square, a sprawling green oasis in the heart of Shanghai, is surrounded by government buildings and anchored by the impressive Shanghai Museum. This urban sanctuary was once the site of a bustling racecourse. After the Communist government banned gambling and horse racing, the space was transformed into a public square, hosting grand parades and events. Today, the square is a vibrant hub surrounded by iconic landmarks. The former racecourse clubhouse now houses the Shanghai Art Museum, while part of the track has become People’s Park. The square’s evolution continues with the addition of the Shanghai Grand Theater and the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, reflecting the city’s dynamic growth.

Visit Shanghai Museum
The Shanghai Museum, a striking blend of ancient and modern architecture, stands as a cultural beacon in the heart of the city. Its distinctive design—a celestial dome atop a square base—mirrors the Chinese philosophy of heaven and earth. Spanning 39,200 square meters, the museum houses an unparalleled collection of over 120,000 priceless artifacts, including renowned bronzes, ceramics, paintings, and calligraphy.

Please note that Shanghai Museum is closed on Mondays. If your tour falls on a Monday, this product is not applicable.

Visit the Bund
The Bund is Shanghai’s iconic waterfront promenade, stretching for 1.6 kilometers along the Huangpu River. Once a muddy riverbank, it transformed into a symbol of colonial power and wealth after the Opium War. Foreign banks and trading houses erected imposing Western-style buildings, turning Shanghai into a thriving metropolis by the 1930s. Today, these architectural gems, including the former British Consulate, Customs House, HSBC Building, Shanghai Club (now Waldorf Astoria), and Peace Hotel, stand as timeless testaments to the city’s glamorous past.

Shopping at Nanjing Road
Nanjing Road, a bustling 3.4-mile-long thoroughfare, is Shanghai’s premier shopping destination and one of the world’s busiest commercial streets. Its origins trace back to the mid-19th century when Shanghai was forced to open as a trading port following the Opium War. As a hub for imported goods, Nanjing Road emerged as the city’s first shopping district. Over time, it has evolved into a dynamic retail landscape, featuring a pedestrian arcade at its eastern end. Today, the street is a vibrant mix of international brands, local retailers, and global fast-food chains, offering shoppers a diverse and exciting experience.
