What to expect at Dachang Ancient Town
Covering an area of 10 hectare, 350 meters from east to west main street, 200 meters from north to south, Dachang Ancient Town is a rather small ancient town.
Dachang Ancient Town is the well preserved ancient architecture groups along the Yangtze Three Gorges area from the late Ming and early Qing Dynasty which was more than 1700 years ago. Most of the architectures are of Hui-style from the Qing Dynasty. The carved beams and painted rafter, the blue brick flies in the eaves all these delicate details present the splendid old time with a natural beauty.
How to get to Dachang Ancient Town
• Take a bus from Chongqing Sigongli Transportation Hub or Longtousi Bus Station to Wushan County (5 hours). Then take a bus to Dachang Town (2 hours).
• Take a ferry from Wushan Pier to Dachang Town. Then take a tourist bus to the scenic area.
