How to Get to Fuzhou Mosque
By Bus: Bus No. 1, 8, 117, 121 and 143 Get off at Daoshan Road Station
By Subway: Line 1 and 2 Get off at Nanmendou Station
Fuzhou Mosque is an old Islamic temple in China. It was established in the 2nd year (628) of Zhenguan, Tang Dynasty (618-907). The Mosque covers about 3.5 acres, with a total construction area of 1800 square meters and a 400 square meters’ main hall.
The building layout of the temple is like the traditional courtyard house. The main hall is surround by the gallery. In the middle of the main hall, there is a enterclose hall, which is the middle hall. In the temple, there still exist the Suyu Stele which was created in the 5th year (1407)of Yongle, Ming Dynasty(1368-1644). Outside the temple, there stand two stone steles in the gallery. One of the steles was created in the 5th year (1407)of Yongle, Ming Dynasty to protect the Islamic, and the other was created in the 28th year(1549) of Jiajing, Qing Dynasty(1636-1911), engraving the reconstruction event. The masque has a long history and conserves a variety of culture relics. Most of the Islamic-belief people are Hui, Uygur, Uzbek and other nationalities.
