What to expect at Yuexiu Park
Located in the middle of Guangzhou, Guangzhou Yuexiu Park is the area where the original city came into being. As a result, Yuexiu Park was an historic political center and, earlier in the Qin Dynasty (221 BC–206 BC), Yuexiu Park was the capital of Nanhai Prefecture. In the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC-8 AD), the area was the administrative center was built by Zhao Tuo, king of the Nanyue Kingdom. Since the People’s Republic of China was founded, Liwan District has been the seat of municipal and provincial Party and Governmental departments.
Guangzhou Yuexiu Park is also a cultural center in Guangzhou the point from which Lingnan culture has spread. In history, many famous men of letters have worked or lived in this place. The Yuexiu Park therefore boasts many sites of classic learning academies, private schools and other seats of learning. In the Yuexiu park, landscapes are here and there. The Five Ram Stone Carving is the badge of Guangzhou city. East Xiu Lake and South Xiu Lake are suitable for painting and North Xiu Lake is a cool place for boating and fishing.

By Metro
• Take Metro line 2 and get off at Yuexiu Park Station.
By Bus
• Take bus No. 21, 24, 58, 87, 101, 103, 105, 108, 109, 110, 113, 124, 182, 186, 211, 244, 256, 265, 273, 284, 519, 528, 543, 555 or 556 and get off at Yuexiu Gongyuan Station.
