Ascend the Six Harmonies Pagoda
The Six Harmonies Pagoda, an exquisite example of ancient Chinese architecture, was constructed in 970 AD during the Northern Song Dynasty. This multi-story structure stands proudly at the base of Yuelun Hill, overlooking the Qiantang River. Known for its distinctive octagonal shape and impressive height of about 60 meters (196 feet), the pagoda appears to have 13 stories from the outside, but internally, it comprises seven floors connected by a spiral staircase. Each floor is adorned with intricate carvings and decorations, featuring motifs such as pomegranates, lotuses, and phoenixes. One of the most enchanting features of the Six Harmonies Pagoda is its prime location, offering stunning views of the Qiantang River and the surrounding scenery.
