Your journey commences at Tiananmen Square, the world’s largest public space. Witness iconic landmarks such as the Gate of Heavenly Peace, where Chairman Mao proclaimed the founding of the People’s Republic of China in 1949, as well as the Monument to the People’s Heroes and the Great Hall of the People. A leisurely stroll leads you to the Forbidden City, now known as the Imperial Palace Museum. The Forbidden City used to home for 24 Chinese Ming and Qing Dynasty emperors. The last emperor, Puyi lived in the Forbidden City till 1924. After savoring a Halal lunch, embark on a visit to the Great Wall of China. In 220 B.C., under Qin Shihuang, the first emperor of China, sections of earlier fortifications were joined together to form a united defense system against invasions from the north. Construction of the great wall continued up to the Ming dynasty (1368–1644), when the Great Wall became the world’s largest military structure. Its historic and strategic importance is matched only by its architectural significance.
